Gomphotherium vs Coelodonta (Woolly Rhino) Scaled Skull

Gomphotherium and Coelodonta (Woolly Rhino) lived at least 1 million years apart from one another and wouldn't have met in real life.

Gomphotherium was as large as today's largest elephants, and Coelodonta approached the size of the largest rhinos, thus we can simulate what likely would have happened were the two to meet, presuming both were in bad moods.

The Woolly Rhino, at 12' long and 5,000 lbs, gives up considerable size to the 10' long, 9,000 lb. proboscidean. Though the huge rhino horn could cause damage, the near twice as heavy Gomphotherium, with 4 tusks and massive power, would win in a head-to-head matchup, as happens today when bull elephants and rhinos occasionally tussle.

The Gomphotherium Scaled Skull was created by scanning the skull of a probable new species of Gomphotherium (under study!) and then 3D printing it to 1:8 scale.

The Coelodonta Scaled Skull was created by scanning the skull of a Coelodonta skull and then 3D printing it to 1:5 scale.
